Michael Berube
Michael Bérubé is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Sustainable Transportation and Fuels at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He leads key initiatives focused on clean transportation fuels and improving energy efficiency in transportation. With over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, Bérubé has worked on electric vehicle technologies and environmental policy. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from MIT and advanced degrees in Technology and Policy and Management from the same institution​


Tien Duong
Tien Duong is the Chief Battery Engineer at the U.S. Department of Energy's Vehicle Technologies Office, where he manages the Advanced Battery Materials Research Program and the Battery500 Consortium. His work focuses on developing and testing next-generation battery materials, aiming to improve energy density and lifespan. With over 30 years of experience, Duong has been integral to the Energy Storage R&D efforts and previously served as a Senior Electrical Engineer for the U.S. Army. He holds degrees in Electrical and Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia
Kathy Giles-Diaz
Kathy Giles-Diaz currently serves as the Consul General at the U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata. She oversees U.S. diplomatic efforts and fosters U.S.-India relations across the eleven states of the Kolkata Consular District, which includes West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and the seven northeastern states of India. Before arriving in India, she was the Public Affairs Advisor at the U.S. Mission to NATO in Brussels, Belgium.She holds a B.A. from Wellesley College in biology and Japanese studies and a master’s degree in public administration and environmental science from Indiana University. Kathy is joined in her diplomatic journey by her husband, Miguel Diaz, and two teenage children.

Arumugam Manthiram
Dr. Arumugam Manthiram is a distinguished professor at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in advanced energy materials.best known for his identification of the polyanion class of lithium-ion battery cathodes, understanding of how chemical instability limits the capacity of layered oxide cathodes, and technological advances in lithium sulfur batteries. With over three decades of research, his work focuses on next-generation battery technologies, including lithium-ion and solid-state batteries. He has authored more than 900 publications, holds numerous patents, and has earned prestigious accolades for his contributions to energy storage. As a mentor, he has guided many students who now lead in academia and industry. His innovations are shaping the future of sustainable energy.
Swapan Bhattacharya
​Swapan Bhattacharya, Managing Director of The Chatterjee Group (TCG), has over 30 years of experience in national and international organizations. Before joining TCG, he served as Senior Vice President at Paine Webber Inc. and worked with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Recognized for his contributions to India's industrial development, he received the ‘Udyog Rattan’ Award in 2009 from the Institute of Economic Studies, India. Bhattacharya has also been Co-Chairman of FICCI’s biotechnology committee and holds key positions in the US-India Business Council, CII, and AMCHAM. His strategic leadership continues to drive TCG’s growth and innovation.
